Jayceon Terell Taylor was born in Compton, California on november 27, 1979. Jayceon was brought up in Compton by his mother and father who are gang affiliated. The Game is a member of the Bloods Street gang. In 2001 he was shot 5 times in the chest, arms and legs after a failed drug deal. He was in a coma for three days. While recovering in the hospital he decided to persue a rap career. He studied various calssic albums before he started rhyming.
He orginally signed with JT the bigga figga's independant label Get Low records. He released a few mixtapes which got the attention of Dr Dre. Dre signed Game to his label Aftermath and decided to have 50 cent work on the debut album with him.
In 2005 The Game's debut album (The Documentary) was a success with the help of two hit singles such as "How We Do" and "Hate It or Love It" featuring 50 Cent. The album went gone 4x platinum, however 50 Cent felt that the Game was disloyal for saying he wanted to work with artists with whom G-Unit were feuding, and he formally dismissed the rapper.
Thats when the contreversry began, Game went to confront 50 cent at the hot 97 studio where 50 was conducting an interview. One of the Game's friends was shot outside the studio. After the situation between the two escalated, 50 Cent and The Game decided to hold a press conference to announce their reconciliation. Despite a public reconciliation the two continued taking shots at each other through mixtapes. And at the summer Jam concert in new york the game began his G-Unot campaign in attempting to defemate the whole label.
In 2006 Jayceon plans on dropping his sophmore album without the help of 50 cent, the public awaits to see what he can do without the assistance of 50. He also is feuding with his half brother Big Fase 100 and several other rappers.
